Pyrenees Shire Council
About This Shire
The Pyrenees Shire is located in the western part of Victoria and has a population of over 7000. The shire includes the towns of Avoca, Beaufort, Lexton and Trawalla.
The Pyrenees Shire, two hours away from Melbourne and half an hour away from Ballarat, is the sort of place you can visit on a day trip, happily potter around for a week or move there long term and live the life you love. Enjoy picnic and some fishing at Avoca River, wine and dine at one of the region's many wineries such as Summerfields Winery, or enhance your mindfulness at the Nhap Luu Monastery.
